I've been told that if you have multiple layer ontop of one another, there is a way to choose which layer to bring to the top... a way to toggle between layers.

You hold shift or ctrl and a pull-down menu appears?... does anyone have any ideas?

For the benefit of others searching the threads, I think the answer was DRAWORDER?

I might be wrong though so please post your answer for all to see?

why dont you try to use a "wipeout" its a pretty useful command than allows you to creat a kind of plan to which you can send things to back or bring to front, hiding with this everything that goes behind

As GE suggested, I believe DRAWORDER is the command that ashllliey was looking for. The pop up menu that was asked about, can be accessed by simply right clicking after selecting the object(s) you want to affect. You can then select Draw Order from the list and choose whether you want to bring it to the front or send it to the back.

If you want to run DRAWORDER on an entire layer, I would suggest using the QSELECT command. This will allow you to select all objects on a given layer. You can then right click > Draw Order > Select option.
