I'm using AutoCAD 2005 in combination with a Microsoft Optical
IntelliMouse. When i'm drawing it often happens that the
mousescrollfunction to zoom in the drawing suddenly quits
zooming and starts scrolling the drawing up and down.
Does anyone has the same problem and does anyone know
how to fix it because it's very annoying! Thanks!

i know that it will happen if you hold down the Ctrl key, but never seen it happen on its own. Has anything changed in your mouse settings?
Not sure if this is the problem, but I have come across some scroll mouses that if you press down on the scroll button it changes the function.

It's not my click function of the scroller that causes it... Does anyone has an other solution? I'm getting real irritated of this problem!

Im sure I have seen this on webpages to,sometimes the mosue will do something when you move it and cause the screen to scroll up and won.Sometimes you can take you hand off the mouse and its still twitching![]()
Hi have you tried mbuttonpan if the value is 0 reset it to 1.
I have tried it, but it doesn't help... But anyway thanks for your help!Originally Posted by KES

I have had the same problem with the third wheel function of zooming changing to pan for no reason. I have discovered that if I will pull up another drawing it will usually work for that drawing. If I will zoom in and out a few times and then return to the problem drawing it sometimes works for a little while or for the remainder of the day. I have tried the "mbuttonpan" command but found it to be little or no help. At the price of AutoCAD you would think they could tell us what to do to fix the problem.

I would just about bet money that it is a conflict between AutoCAD and your 3rd party mouse driver.
