Can you share your dimension techniques with me? Grid spacing, formats, etc., for residential design?

What standards do you use ? eg BS, ISO, inhouse

    Do you want MMs ?

Do you want ticks or arrowheads ?

What text style do you want ?

Are you Dimensioning in MODEL or LAYOUTS ?

Do you need scaled dimensions or 1 to 1 ?

I want to learn how to correctly apply dimensions. Research tells me Paper Space. 1 to 1. Text and tics I can adjust as needed. As of now I have no standards. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Well I use BS dimensions. Arrowheads filled and long n thin. Extension lines not touching. Text above or to the right eg radii. Degrees and MM units. Always 1 to 1.

Since I tend to teach 1:1 and plot to A3, using plots 'scale to fit' option
I do not get delved into scaled dimensions.

All these standards are applicable to British Standards /ISO.

Apllying them correctly involes neaness etc.

    See this BS web link

I will place my DIMSTYE and TEXTSTYLE within a *dwg file up here
    if you want.
