Switching from vertical to horizontal ribbon?

My company has just changed us over from AutoCAD 2007 to 2009 mechanical and while I can get the dashboard (vertical ribbon) to show I cannot get it to show in the horizontal form (similar to microsoft office?) I have searched through the help files through the program which tells me how to turn it on and off but it doesn't instruct on how to choose between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you can't pick it up and move it? can you 'unlock' it?

PS - no idea whether you're talking about a toolbar or the taskbar

The Ribbon is not supported in Mechanical 09, go figure. If you use the plain Autocad setup you can get the Ribbon.
