Default Basic Commands not working on numerous platforms

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Good Morning all,

    A bit of a condunram.

Recently basic commands in CAD havnt been working, such as properties, scaling and rotate.
But the odd thing is, its throughout the whole office, everyone who has full CAD.

And its the same problems at the same times!

    Any ideas?

    Cheers!
    Mark

Is everyone working off the same "master" CUI? Sounds like it could be corrupt.

It could be, how would I go about finding the CUI file?

It would most likely be on your network drive.

I am not working off of a network version so my information will be a bit different than yours.

The master CUI file is stored in this location:

    C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007\UserDataCache\Support.

The CUI used in the day to day operation of AutoCAD is stored in this location:

    C:\Documents and Settings\remark\Application Data\AutoDesk\AutoCAD 2007\R17.0\enu\Support.

Some of your entries will vary. Examples: Your using 2005 not 2007. And the R1x.0 identifier for 2005 I think is R15.0 if I'm not mistaken.

Does your company use customized CUI files? Those too would have to be possibly corrupted. They are stored in the same folders.

When swapping out files be sure to keep a copy of the master. Write down the size of the file and the date it was created so as to keep tract of which files are "master" (they should have the earliest dates).
