not urgent just anoying-Long scale list

Can any one tell me why there are loads of scale options in my view port scale selector, they seem to be there in plot manager also, I used to have a nice clean list of selections 1:100 etc these days the drop down menue is full of things like 1:200_2_3_XREF now obviousaly it relates to my xrefs but how do I get rid of it and put an end to this noncence . ? any Ideas

Try "scalelistedit". when the window pops up press reset and it should return to the nice pretty list your used to. I have this happen all the time from client DWG's.
