Default Rotate a Block and Have Base Point Dynamically change

Is this possible? When I insert one of my blocks, I would like the Base Point to change.

Maby, im not sure what your wanting to happen. You can change a base point or insertion point but it will then change on all the blocks found in that drawing. If you have a symictrical block and you just want the base point to be the oppsite of what it is you could mirror the block then both blocks will be the same still but the insertion point will be located on oppsite sides.

Default Roate a Block and Have Base Point Dynamically change

    Hmmm...
Imagine you have several blocks that when put together create a 2D picture of city streets. So the blocks you have are 90 degrees, straights, Tee's, crosses, 45 degrees etc.

Look at my attached picture. See the 90 degree block on the top. Its base point works fine but when I rotate it by 90 degrees see where the base point is...it wont snap to the other side of my Tee.

I was wondering if there was a way when you insert a block and hit "r" for rotate and enter the degree value, the base point would switch.

Now..If that is not possible, is ther eanother way? I hate having to drop this and then connect it. Would be neat to do it all at once.

    yikes...cant upload picture..

Theirs not too much you can do about the insertion point if you change it it will change on all blocks with that name and you cant change it through the prompts to insert. You can however change the insertion point to be in a symitrical position that what you can rotate the block corectly around the insertion point. This link will show you in blue a non symitrical pistion in red a symetrical position. Hope this is of some help.
