It seems to me that you are still working in inches- maybe you've changed a scale somewhere?

Hi. I'm wondering how to do something. I have AutoCAD 2008LT. I'm putting dimensions on detail drawings. I'm changing the size of the arrows and text since I'm printing in different viewport scales and the changes make them match. Oddly , I have recently found that instead of making the text 12" or 6" in height (as I have always done), the Dimention Style Manager says the arrow size, for example, is 1/8" ht. I would rather work in inches. Is there a way to switch it back to inches because that would be easier for me?

It's happening to every drawing now.I have many dim styles - all of them have been converted to using the fractional method of scaling text and arrows, etc. I wish I could switch it back to inches. The drawing units are architectural and in inches (same as before).
Guess What! I figured it out.![]()
Somehow in the dimension style standard, in the modify dimension style standard, there is a tab for FILL and in that tab, the scale for dimension features was a box checked for - use overall scale of - (in this case '96'). I changed it to 1. After that I was able to change all the dimensions to inches measurements and everything is back to the way I like it (at leat in my new dim style and in this drawing).
I'm happy.I'm still not sure how it happened. Maybe I copied something into the file that had a weird dimension style. I'm new at this.
