h0wi3
Hi, I'm used to Solidworks and now I'm using AutoCAD. I can't seem to figure out how to assemble the parts i created together. In Solidworks I would just specify the constraints. Do I have to move it manually in AutoCAD ? or is there a function or a software that will let me do the assembly more easily ? Thanks in advance
ReMark
You must be talking about a 3D drawing, right? Have you tried the Align command?
h0wi3
Hmm. tried that. How do you mate a shaft to a hole ? I can't seem to use the 3D align for this.. help.. Thanks in advance
nocturne00
You'll need to get very well aquinted with the UCS of autoCAD first, rotation of the crosshairs, and where to actually snap your objects in place. but from I can tell, youll need to locate the center of the hole and center of the shaft, align and snap those together by the way, youll need to activate "center" in your ONSNAP settings
