Default Copied Viewport Not Showing Contents

OK heres the crack - We have a drawing from someone else which when you copy over a viewport there is no contents indicated. If you HIGHLIGHT THE VIEWPORT and RIGHT CLICK and DISPLAY VIEWPORT OBJECTS it then works.
Now in our drawings when you copy over a viewport the contents is shown immediately - this is just annoying and ideas?

Tried "MAXACTVP" variable and its already at max 64.

There aren't that many viewports in the drawing either so we haven't exceeded the maxmium.

    Cheers.

My pasted viewports always need to be turned on. I asked about this in another forum and it seems that is just the way it is. Pasted viewports need to be turned on. I would like it, if you figure out how to have them on when pasting, that you could post back with the solution.

    Thanks for your comment Rob.

What i am saying is that my viewports are ok in my drawings and when i copy them i don't have to activate them they are already indicating the contents.

A drawing we have in from a different company this doesn't happen as also yours seem not to. How can this be?

There must be a system variable you can change.

When I use AutoCAD's copy command and copy a viewport within a file, it is always on. When I paste a viewport, I always have to turn it on.
