title block inserted into paper space is huge

Hi when I insert one of our office title blocks as an xreft into the paper space of one of my drawings, only a very small part of it (some text) is visible and this small part is huge while the rest of the title block is nowhere to be seen.

should I be specifying insertion point and scale when I insert this xref?

(I think I'm inserting onto the proper layer.)

:o

Is the title block drawn to real world dimensions (24"x36" or whatever size it should be)?

Are you inserting it at 1 scale?

Did you zoom extents after inserting it?

Hi,

I'm trying to insert a title block from our office standards into my base plan as an xref. The problem is that when I insert the title block into the paper space of my drawing, only a small part of the title block is visible and this small section comes in as huge...so huge I can't zoom out enough to see the whole title block.

Has this ever happened to anyone and if so, how did you solve the problem?

Thanks.

Yes the units are the same.

I've located a different title block which seems to work. I just wish I could figure out why.

Thanks for your help.

You can try scale the xref down with key in commands.

1. scale

2. all

3. 0,0

4. .001 you will have to play with this number.

you can also zoom to fit.

open up the title block you were having problems with and see how it was drawn...somebody could have drawn it in paperspace as oppose to modelspace....
