jhunter77
Acad Map 2008. I am trying to load a block logo and my computer changes the font when I view it. The block looks right in the thumbnail when I am about to open it. Other computers have no problem opening the block and the text being fine. I have tried to load diffrent fonts, checked to see if the font was right etc. I am thinking its some type of setting that is not set right in my machine. Any help? It has the office stumped. Thanks! BOB'27T
Is it an shx file? I run into this every now and then when I get a survey in. When I insert it, sometimes it changes blocks into unusual shapes (especially with tree blocks). The last time it happened, I had the surveyor send me their shx files. jhunter77
This is just the text not the rest of the block. Thanks
chulse
The font may be a SHX file that you don't have. Check the text style to be sure it uses the correct font and that it's installed.
jhunter77
I have looked at this and it is using the same font. I have even copied the other fonts from the other machines that view it correctly. Another problem is after I open it up it changes and saves the new text and replaces the old, no errors, warnings etc
Strix
if you have ACAD set up to throw up the proxy warning pop up when you open a drawing, you should be able to glean more info on what's being replaced I'm sure there's another way of finding out (as with everything in AutoCAD) but I don't know what that is off the top of my head!
