Hi I am new to A2005 and I need help with print setup. I am the only drafter in the office and no one to ask. Also I've been told if I don't learn how to creat a database (excel) with each drawing they'll sack me. Nice people

A database shopuldnt be that hard.Just list your drawings, with the client name date they were issued etc.You could insert hyperlinks to each drawing so that when you click on the link they automatically open. That really is a bit intense, did they have problems with nobody logging drawings?Maybe theyre joking some peoples sarcastic sense of humour is very close to soundeing abusive depending how you look at it.I work with a few myself. You scratch your head thunking is that a joke or this guy being serious?Anyway call back should you have any problems theres plenty of members wholl help you out

I had the exact same senario, but I made my database with Microsoft Access and it works well. I have hyperlinks from Access to Excel datasheets with all the drawings, coordinates, and all text files all arranged and easy. If you have any questions just let me know.
