rkmcswain
You can set up a "raster" plotter, and plot to an image file. More details here: http://rkmcswain.blogspot.com/2006/12/raster-image-output-from-autocad.html

happyunited
Were PNGOUT and JPGOUT and such commands available in 2004? The quality comes out a bit poor doing it this way?
rkmcswain
I would agree that setting up the plotter gives you better quality and more control. If all you need is a quick screen capture, then Print Screen and paste into your favorite image editor is just about as quick as the xxxOUT commands... Also, even as far back as R14, the ._EXPORT command allowed you to create a WMF, BMP, or EPS file.
