gnwjr
I am new to Inventor, but relatively familiar with AutoCAD. I have two questions, primarily related to what I could do with AutoCAD and if I can do the same with Inventor. 1. With AutoCAD, I could define the units for dimensions based on the units (inches, feet, meters, etc.), precision (0.01, 0.001, 0.0001, etc.), and fractional or decimal (1/4 versus 0.25). I have been trying to find this function or capability in Inventor, but with no luck. Is it possible to use fractional units or if not, is there an add-on that will enable this? 2. Again with AutoCAD, I could draw a rectanle, line, whatever, by first placing the first point roughly or via a snap mode and then by using relative coordinates (@2.25, 2.36) I could move to that X, Y distance from the first point. Again, is there a way to do the same with Inventor? Thanks for the help. I look forward to the suggestions.
