Hi. I'm trying to create parts list using Cad 2002 and Excell. I have created my block with attributes and I'm happy with the technique of extracting them.
How can I set up a template table in Xcell and have my attribute data export from AutoCad into the correct cell? i.e. the title of the drawing in the title box of the Excell sheet. The date in the date box, job reference e.t.c with a list of parts and attributes below...
To be really flash I would like to import this table back into my drawing, and have it dynamic so that if I added more parts the table would update its self...
I've got a feeling this could be serious programming time and may be beyond me! As an alternative - can any one recomend a plug in that could help with this?
Cheers Pablo

I imagine that such a thing could be done using VBA but we'll need a VBA expert to confirm that. There are currently lots of applications that look as though they may do what you want:
EXCELLINK for AutoCAD
AutoBlock
XL2CAD

Having looked at the above applications in a little more detail, it looks like AutoBlock will do exactly what you want. It's available as a 15 day trial and costs $150 for a standalone licence - very reasonable considering what it can do.
