I think you need the MEASURE command.

Hi,
How do I insert a particular block to follow a designated line?
For example, I am preparing a Traffic Diversion Route and want to repeatedly show the same block at 2m intervals along a polyline I have drawn.
Thanks in advance for any help!!![]()
Daz.
I think you need the MEASURE command.

Hey Dave,
Yeah have been trying to do that but its not working....
Not aligned with my polyline anyway.

Don't you get the prompt
'Align block with object? [Yes/No] <Y>:'
after you enter the name of the block?
Yeah got that and pressed 'Y' and then for some reason it does it in a circle around the job which is about a mile radius!!!
Can you post a screenshot of what happens.
Try to check also the location of your Block's Base Point coz it is where the measure command will align it to your polyline as sort of a node

Hi,
Ended up doing it but just used points instead of block.
the points align fine and I had to copy the block on to each point which was time consuming and tedius!!
Will post a picture to show you all.
Thanks for your help anyway.

ouch, thats too much of a pain to do;![]()
here's how I do it;
The first Pic is in Block Editor; The green line is the object I will align, I used its midpoint as the base point.
Its important that the coordinates 0,0 in Block Editor(which is the Base Point of your Block to Align) is at a sort of node where it will align on the object you will measure.
....always perform Beyond what is expected.
Absolute QUALITY!
Yeah, my block was the problem as it was not at 0,0!!
Thank you!!!![]()
