    Default Which Laptop

Can someone please tell me if a Laptop is as good as a PC in terms of working with AutoCAD?
I find manipulating the pointer is hopeless for AutoCAD. Perhaps a wireless mouse? Anyone has any experience and or suggestion please?

    dreamer,

I have been using laptops for the past 4yrs or so and have no complaints. I was not sure at first about going to a laptop but I'm very happy I did. As for the pointing device, I find a trackball works great. Especially if your traveling and have limited space you dont need a flat surface for a mouse.

    get the LED mouse.

a full size one with 3 or more buttons is preferable too. those mini-laptop mices are for people who do word and excel only.

Hi thanks to all of your relies. They are great help.

Sab 423, did you replace the touch pad with a trackball? But isn't it trap dirts and you cannot access the parts to do the cleaning like you do with a mouse? They said trackball device on laptop has became obslete for that reason!?

    Dreamer,

I use a logitech corded trackball that is separate from the laptop. The trackball is much easier than the mouse to clean.
