specialforces27
I have a quick question. I recently switched to autoCAD 2007 and for some reason it seems as if my double click is disabled, i.e. I can't double click to enter the dynamic block editor, edit text, etc. Is there a setting im unaware of, or has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
mugshot
try option>user preferences> double click editing
nocturne00
a system variable. you could also toggle it by inputting DBLCLKEDIT>ON. same as mugshot's advise above only you have to enter options.
specialforces27
I've checked that variable and it is set to ON and it still doesn't work.... any other ideas?
CmdrDuh
check your CUI file for double click actions
rookie37
I have had a problem as you described. Hopefully your problem isn't as drastic as mine. I tried many things for a week to solve it including dblclkedit to no avail. It turned out the menu was corrupt. I even tried to reload acad but it didn't fix it. (I don't understand why) Something like it won't overwrite your customized menu or something like that. For some reason it wouldn't let me reload the Vanila menu until I; RIGHT CLICK ACAD ICON PROPERTIES TARGET (edit the target to the following) "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\acad.exe" /p "newprofile"
rookie37
Before you try as I did, can you log out fo your computer first. Log in again as a different person Start Acad. See if there is still a problem
nocturne00
I suspect this is another one for the PICKFIRST variable. Set it to "1"
rookie37
If you edit the icon target, restore it after you open acad or it will start acad afresh each time
