plotting to pdf text turns out bold

Recommended Posts

  • 4 years later...

hello,

I have read many threads about this issue with the text looking normal in the "Print Preview" before plotting, but once it plots to PDF, some areas of text turn out very fat and bold.

There is no rhythm or reason to it, totally random areas will be bold.

Does this have to do with PDF issue? or AutoCad issue?

All my "Z Position" for text is set at 0 zero.

I have AutoCad 2009, the text style I am using is STYLUS BT, Roman.

Perhaps you could post a drawing file containing some of this text that turns to bold when it plots to PDF, and then someone could look at it instead of just guessing.

Hi Eldon-

I found a solution for the bold text: Downloaded and installed CUTEPDF, a third party printer. This corrected my unusual and randomly bold text issue.

But now I have a new issue, there is a random and mysterious line that shows up diagonally across my entire page, only shown after plotting to PDF. I am attaching a screen shot because my PDF file is too large to upload, 1.5MB.

See attached and let me know what you think. Thank you SO MUCH for the quick response.

Hey Eldon,

when your plotting click on "scale lineweights" under 'plot scale' and see if thats the problem

Hey Renslo,

I do not have a problem, but thank you for being concerned :D

One would hope that the OP has figured it out in the four + years since posting
