The next time the error appears get a pen and paper and write it out just as it appears on your screen then come back here and post it. We cannot begin to help you without knowing what the error is.

When did the error first appear?

Had you made any hardware or software changes prior to the error's first appearance?

Did you recently use a Registry cleaning program?

What other programs besides Windows and AutoCAD are running in the background? For example, are you running an anti-virus program such as McAfee or Norton?

So you get an error when you open AutoCAD 2006 and you get an error when you then open any drawing? Is it the same error message in both instances or two different errors?

I skipped 2006 so I must ask, were there any service packs issued for 2006 and, if so, did you install them?

What steps have you taken to diagnose or remedy the situation?

Please answer each and every question in the order they were asked. Your answers, or lack thereof, will determine the extent to which we may be able to help you. The more information we have the better our chances to assist you.

I can't say I ever heard of Trogan.acad.qfas.a. Has anyone else?

How do you think you got this virus in the first place?

Thank you for posting back. This needs to be investigated further I think.
