unforgiven_576
Dear all, I know how to draw the arc in CAD 2006, however i cannt specify a radius for it. i tried the Start End Radius but it didn't work, am trying to get a radius of 40 in a line with dimension of 8000 (all in mm). Any help is greatly appreciated.
papagyi
First check to be sure decimal unit. For sure, first draw a line 8000.Then select arc "start/end/radius" and pick to end points of 8000 line for start and end. Then type 40000 instead of 40. Your radius should be min half of the length. What would you want? Can you post image like your wish?
wannabe
How about picking your start point. Then hitting C to specify the centre point. Then you can use the SNAPFROM to select a point along your line that is 40 away from your required centre point and type in @40,0 (providing the desired radius mid-point is 40 above the snapfrom point). Then select your end point. Is this what you mean?
wannabe
Dont forget you can also stretch the start, end and center point of an arc using the grips.
