just making my own symbol library and I want to keep checking what it looks like and see if it's usable through Design Centre. By loading up my new symbol library, yet it doesn't refresh itself and all the symbols are old ones, that I have deleted. Anyone any ideas?

Are you on 2004 or higher? If so just make a tool palette and use them instead Design Center was nice before Tool Palettes came along. I use the Design Center to get layers, blocks and text styles out of existing drawings but I use Palettes for librarys now. Just my take on it from my experience
