Hi guys, I'm taking an engineering graphics course at my local college and we're using inventor.
I was given a cylindrical object that has 3 ribs on it (it looks kind of like a pulley) so I've drawn it (had some problems with drawing the ribs though) and now I'm working on trying to project some orthographic views from the object so that they come out in a conventional projection as opposed to a "true" projection unfortunately the only thing I can see that inventor can do is do a true projection. Is there any way to make it so that it works out better?
Thanks!
For a demonstration of what I mean by 'conventional projection' go to www.twu.net/eq4 and take a look at figure 8-47.

You can create orthographic views or auxiliary views or section views in inventor. An auxiliary view will be at an angle other than 90° (non-orthographic) and a section can be created with more than one leg as shown in your example. Read the help on how to create these views.
