Ritch7
what exactly are you trying to paste, i use excel with cad alot of the time, 1st thing i would think of is the size?, then something is in your excel in which your trying to paste that cad dosent like (compatability perhaps?), or 3 its something to do with user settings is it just basic spreadsheet table/stuff your trying to copy
dbroada
I see you are using 2005 - excel wasn't great with that version. It tends to paste an OLE link which is only a snapshot of the table you are inserting. I found if the table was increased in size the snapshot didn't like it. I think there is a maximum pixel size for OLE objects too. AutoCAD 2008 is excellent with excel.

dbroada
why try to use table instead, its the same as exceled files. does 2005 LT have tables?
chelsea1307
no, LT doesnt have tables, if a table is inserted into a dwg by another user with full acad LT can edit the information but it doesnt have the ability to insert one... chelsea1307
but, if you search this site for tables, one of the threads has a link to a download that will allow LT to create tables.
dbroada
OK, but my point was about 2005. I never found tables usable until 2006 came along.
