I don't think the system variable UNDOCTL allows for disregarding pans and zooms. I think you are stuck with what you got. Send AutoDesk a nice flower arrangement along with that "thank you". They'll appreciate it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make it so that "undo" does not undo panning and zooming. Auto CAD is the only program I use that "undo" undoes panning and zooming.
Thanks

One of the more annoying quirks of AutoCAD this is. The only thing I've found is to use OOPS when just wanting to bring back the last thing you deleted.
Other than that - you know that you can Undo many commands in one go byt going to the Undo-button and hitting the arrownext to hit?
Life doesn't suck, although we all go through periods when it may be easier to think that, than to discern the solution to whatever problem is the most formidable
at the moment in one's personal UCS.

Why do you need undo for pan & zooming? If you will have important view,
you can save view!

Doidnho wants to exclude zooom and pan when performing an undo.
There are no setting that excludes them that I know about.
That should be on our wishlist for AutoCAD 2010.
