VIC842
Easy question... Probably tough answer... Currently using AutoCAD 2008 Mechanical, designing compact modular piping skid systems. My iso generation needs to be more efficient to the levels of CadWorx, Microstationm etc... But I dont want to change to one of these program packages... Is there a package or LISP to do this? Please anyone...? Thanks for any help everyone... vic
Hugh_Compton
You could try one of these libraries to help you in Mechanical Desktop: Pipework & Structural Steel http://www.3DCADMax.com 3D AutoCAD Pipework – http://www.HerculeDesign.com Or if you'd prefer 2D: 2D AutoCAD Pipework - http://www.3dcadmax.com/2DPipeFittingsAutoCAD.htm Instead of CADWorx Autodesk offers AutoCAD MEP - http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=3290681 AutoCAD MEP is the front runner in high end piping programs. Inventor Professional has a pipe program that is impressive but has a very steep learning curve since you are from an AutoCAD background. VIC842
We already have a library of fittings and such... I am looking for the capability to create "single line isometric drawings" from a 3d spool of pipe like CadWorx does with there isogen out add-on... The only thing I need is to be able to clic something, select my spool of pipe and have CAD automatically create a single line iso with weldbubbles, dims, bom, continuation lines, etc. dont need fitting library... need iso generation add-on... Any ideas Thanks V
