spursnutter Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 I am having problems with the edge lines of solids showing through but I can't see anywhere in the settings for visual styles why it should be doing it. see attached picture of my problem. papagyi Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Your dwg was fine with my acad 2008/9!...I have to suggest to your realistic style to reset default!You can right click on "realistic style" from visual style manager dialog box!You can see my screen shot! If I cut and paste the solid into a new template everything is fine but I can't for the life of me figure out why it is still like it. dvjstyles Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Some drawings just seem to corrupt Autocads handling of Visual Styles so you get these Hidden lines show through. I have two drawings open at the same time - one shows 3D hidden and Conceptual as correctly solid with no hidden lines showing through and the other shows all the hidden lines AND surface lines across each object plane. Yet when I started drawing this morning both drawings were fine, I have changed none of the settings - only jumped between different visual styles when suddenly this happens. I have purged, audited, restarted.. I dont have another machine at hand to try it on. I am utterly convinced its a problem with the programming of all the recent autocad (2006 +) versions.
