Dipali
I have been thinking of asking this question whenever I use hatch When we choose inherit property while hatch it takes the pattern, sacle, island detection etc. of the selected hatch but hatch comes in the layer whichever is current. is there a way to make it alos inherit the layer property to avoid the match property step after. i have a similar question for dimension, but will ask that in separate thread. wannabe
The only way I know is to matchprop. Be good to know if there is an all-in-one option, though.
feargt
if you use standard hatching u can also put these on the toolpalette, and edit the layer property. again not sure if this is available on LT have revceided confirmation that toolpalettes are availabel in LT

whitemarlin
Maybe I am not understand the question completley but try this out. After you initiate the matchprop command, select the hatch that you want to match and then type settings in the command prompt. From there you should be able to check the layer box so it inherits that property. Everything should be checked by default so dont know why it got changed? Let me know
