Chamfer a cylinder

Whats the best and easiest way to chamfer the end of a cylinder?

If the cylinder is a solid just use the CHAMFER command. Pay attention to the prompts on the command line as they will be slightly different than what you are used to seeing when working with 2D objects.

when you use the chamfer command you need to select the face on which the chamfer will be(one of them) then just follow the prompts. You can make the chamfer distance different on each face. after you are prompted for the distances you will need to select the edge on that face you wish to locate the chamfer.

You can also draw a 3d cross section of your cylinder with the chamfer, and revolve this. Especially usefull if you have multiple chamfers and counterbores.
