Slicing on a Different UCS

The attached drawing is part of a 3d truss plan. The yellow 2x4s represent framing that will be done on site. What would be the best way to Slice the yellow 2 x 4s even with each other?

The slice command wants to slice with AutoCAD,s default planes (Top, Bottom, Right, Left, Front, Back). The problem is that I want to slice with a different plane (UCS).

I have tried using the 3-point option on the UCS toolbar but I'm not getting the effect I want.

The Subtract command would probably work but this seems like a more time consuming method. I would like to slice the 2 x 4's as if they were sitting on the ground plane.

Any suggestions?
