Default Can I get a Donut?

    Hehehe.... with hot chocolate lol.

I'm trying to get a closed pline shape inside another for Autocad to read square-foot of the region in-between both shapes. Imagine a one foot circle inside of a five foot circle (The Donut). If my math is right, that's approx. 18.85 SqFt. Can this be done in Autocad? I believe it can in MicroStation - Bentley The Challenger!!!

Use the REGION command to turn both closed polylines into regions. Then SUBTRACT the inner region from the outer. It should look the same until you select it, you'll see your donut. You can get its area from the Properties Palette, the LIST command, or the AREA command.
    Just because you're , doesn't mean wrong is all that's .

Wow!! Mr. MaxwellEdison, that is awesome! Now I can exclude planters and stairwells from hallways and covered patios for square-foot measurement. Thank you! AutoDesk, the No. 1 Contender!!!
