    Default sweep question

Is there a way to get the sweep to follow the entire path?
I'm trying to add a stair nose to a step, but unless I add the profile at the end of the path it will only create the sweep for part of the path.

If I add a second sweep using the same sketch and profile then it does complete the path, but is it possible to do it with only one sweep?

i have done a sweep around an entire object before by selecting the sketch edge as my path. Do you have an edge you can select? you may need to use the convert entities while in a 3d sketch if everything isnt in the same plane
