gonzo Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 i have 5 dwg's ..floor plans , elev, ect, in the xref mananger i attached a title block (tb-1) now there's a change that calls for a new tb...(tb-2) in paper space layouts...when i tried to detach tb-1 it;s says .can;t detach because circular references noted. thans in advance, mr, re-mark.. Coosbaylumber Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 You got to get a listing of the names to the blocks and XREF's you have in the parent drawing. One name may be listed here or there, Xref'd in via another one, and you thus cannot eliminate the second one without the first one going too. Not really a circular reference, but you need to find out what is causing such. It may be as simple as going to each drawing called out in the XREF or Block listing and then going there and purging out the unused data. Wm.
