ziemerd
I'm trying to learn how to set up a project from scratch which requires initial settings. One of the settings is Item Numbering. What does item numbering do? Where is it used? In the Item Numbering Setup dialog box it needs to know Item Assignments. The options are: Per-Component Basis - Assigns items on a per-component basis. Only one item number is assigned for each component insertion, even if the component is an assembly containing several part numbers. Per-Part Numbering Basis (excluding ASSYCODE Combinations) - Assigns item s on a per-part number basis. Each catalog entry on a component is assigned an item number. The main catalog part number and any multiple catalog part numbers aere included. Assemblycode combinations are ignored. In our drawings we have components with subassembly parts that have their own part numbers. We need these subassembly parts to show up on the BOM with the parent component though they are not in the drawing anywhere. Thanks.
