    Default scale xref?

    how do i scale my xref into my new layout? i have an xref drawn at 1/4" scale, but need to create a layout in 3/32" scale and when i xref my drawing into this new layout it still comes in 1/4"

    ok, i got my xref in my model space layout at 3/32", but how do i get my viewport to use this scale also? i have a habit of double clicking in my viewport and changing my scale, how do i set this?

    Just click on the outer rim of the viewport > click properties and where it says viewport locked - select "yes"

    You can also add a field to your viewport's label that will automatically re-calculate the scale. Quite useful for un-detected small changes that can prove costly and embarrassing.
