Grips Rotating My Ucs

Hi,

The Problem Is This, My Ucs Rotates Everytime I Draw A Polyline And Try To Stretch The Polyline.

If I Draw Just A Normal Line I Can Stretch It And Ucs Stays Where It Is, But If I Convert That Line To A Polyline And Try To Stretch It The Ucs Rotates.

If I Use The Grips I Can Actually See That The Pickbox'x (or Grips) Are Slightly Rotated Too.

Driving Me Mad!!

Please Help.

Hello all,

I just came across this thread and I know it is old however, I believe I have found a solution to this as I have been having the same problem. I believe the reason for this issue is that the created UCS is not on the same plane as the WCS. Therefore, when you draw objects in the UCS, it will revert to that plane when you try to stretch the objects.

To solve this problem, follow the below steps:

1) DXFOUT the drawing

2) Open DXF file in Wordpad

3) Find AcDbUCSTableRecord

4) The following Code Numbers all have values (format on below line)

(Code #)

(Code Value)

5) Change values for Code Numbers 30, 31, and 32 to 0.0

6) Make sure Code Number 146 has a value of 0.0

7) Save changes and open in CAD and save as DWG.

Those code numbers deal with the Z-Axis values of the UCS and will make sure they are all 0.0 and equal to the z-axis of the WCS.

Hope this helps anybody else who stumbles on this problem.
