normal 3d survey to civil 3d points and lines

We are having to move over to Civil 3d because of 3rd party software cost issues.

Problem is....

i have been sent a landsurvey drawing in autocad which is in 3d but not set up as a civil3d drawing.

How do I associate all the points and lines to make this a civil3d drawing.

the lines are 3d lines and polylines, and the ponts are just normal points not Civil 3d.

What is the best way o go about this as I have found no useful tutorials to do this so far.

I would appreciate any help its been a nightmare so far.....

Start out by listing the points to find out whether they are softdesk points, land desktop points, AutoCAD points, blocks, etc. Then we'll be able to deal with them.

I guess the 3d linework is for edge of pavement and other such features?

You can create surfaces from autocad objects such as points lines 3d faces etc just use "Definition" option "Drawing objects" load your points first then use the lines as breaklines.

Ps explode polylines then become lines

There is facility in Civil 3d to convert blocks as Civil 3D objects

I am attaching the JPEG file for your reference It may not be clear due to file restrictions on forum.

In short you can go to "Civil Points----Utilities"
