Custom Hatch

Recommended Posts

An AutoCAD LT hatch pattern definition (.PAT) file has the same text format as all other AutoCAD versions and can be created by a text editor such as Notepad or by a visual hatch pattern editor.

You can store your custom hatch pattern either

  • as a separate .PAT file within a directory on your Support File Search Path
  • within the standard .PAT file - either ACLT.PAT or ACLTISO.PAT for AutoCAD LT depending on your MEASUREMENT setting.

How exactly are the hatches coded into text? Do you know of any free visual hatch editors? & lastly, are all the default hatches in the same file?
