Hi guys,

I would like to know the procedure to create an attribute in the Title area, such as Project name:, Drawn by:, Scale, Revision etc.

Also how to have Documentation No.s on corner of the tile page that correspond with the Title, and also the saved file that appears on the oustide of the border when saved

Would you be able to tell me step by step please.

Cheers

Hello FK.

Try typing ATTEDEF.

You can set up all your info from here.

In Tag: file name

In Prompt: enter file name

In default: Right Click and Insert Field.

There is loads of fields here and you will find File Name. This will print the file name.dwg.

You can do the same for Date, well anything else.

Regards,

ATTDEF creates an attribute, and then once done you need to create a block that includes those attributes.

If your title block is not an xref then make the attributes part of it. If it is an Xref, just make them a block on their own, ideally with one constantly visible entity.

Another thing you should know is that when you create the block with attributes, you should pick the attribute definitions in the order that you want them to appear when the block is inserted and the user is prompted to input the attribute values.

Or use the BATTMAN command to rectify the order, amongst other useful Block attribute features.
