Trizza
what am i doing wrong? I am making a custom hatch into the file 'Geo Tests.pat' onto a server. I have added the search path to the support files, the file shows in the custom hatch section. There is one hatch inside: *SOIL-Pt, Peat 0, 0,0, 0,.3125 0, 0,.46875, 0,.3125, .625,-.625 45, -.15625,0, 0,.88388348, -.66291261,.44194174,-.26516504 135, .3125,0, 0,-.88388348, -.66291261,.44194174,-.26516504 *exactly copied from the file everytime i select the file in hatch command it shows the message 'error in pattern file' appears any suggestions
CarlB
As I recall you need to have a blank line at the end of the pattern code.....maybe that's it....
eldon
Having had a quick look at other hatch patterns, it seems that after the initial angle, all the rest of the data were in pairs. On your third and fourth lines, after the angle, you have seven bits of data. This might be a wild goose chase as I don't know the definite answer
eldon
Having the odd five minutes, I just tried setting up a pattern file on its own, and the swatch pattern comes up fine, but there is an error message "missing parameter on line 5 ?" when you try and hatch. Trizza
Thanx for changing the title of the thread btw, i realised it was a bad name a little too late. Anyway, Thanx for your replies and the solution to the problem was: As I recall you need to have a blank line at the end of the pattern code SOIL-PT pattern must be contained in file named SOIL-PT.PAT An extra question; does this now mean you can only have one pattern per file??
