Customising CadDuct

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the slightly off topic thread, i have tried on the xtracad cadduct forums, but for some reason i'm banned, can't re-register cos my email address has already been used, and emails to the 'admin' bounce straight back.... so i thought i'd try my luck here.... 8)

I'm trying to 'Work Smarter, Not Harder', i've recently got rid of all my toolbars, including my customised buttons etc, and adopted the keyboard shortcuts method instead. Wow, what a difference!! (yeah i'm a bit of a noob.)

i'd now like to combine the most frequently used Cadduct items into one 'tab', so instead of flicking between Rectangular, Round, Inline/End of Line Items etc, i have all the common, most used buttons all in one place.

Can anyone give me a few hints on how to achieve this, or point me in the direction of a tutorial?

Thanks!

In Setup Services (the hand-on-paper icon between the sevices & sections pulldowns) under say General Supply you need to edit the service then set up a new User Service Template... say My Ductwork (copying the current Ductwork template)... & then drag all of the components you want from the library on the left side into the tab area & delete the ones you don't want... you can then use this on any other services as required (eg General Extract).
