I opened it in AutoCAD as a 3ds file & as a DWG file, but i didn't succeed to make a section with SLICE tool or with SECTION PLANE tool. I'm not familiar with AutoCAD, but i must have my model in AutoCAD, so Maybe someone can guide me. or - maybe it's not possible because the model is from max....? Lazarus Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Maybe it is not the best solution but try this: 1.Explode the model 2.type CONVTOSURFACE -it will convert the 3d faces to surfaces 3.type THICKEN -add a desired value and your model will become a bunch of 3d solids(wich i can't seem to union together) p.s.
