Can I DIVIDE a polyline?

Hi,

I am using ACAD 2004.

I am trying to divide the (2D) centre line of a road into 500m sections. I can use the MEASURE tool to place a point every 500m. What I would like to bwe able to do is then break the line at those points.

Is this possible?

Have you tried the divide command?It also works on polylines.Make sure you have siomething other than a dot set for your point style otherwise you wont be able to see the divide points.
