I use shift/select/deselect a lot and it's quit working for both functions.
I used to hold down shift to select AND deselect and now it only selects.
Problem occurred after opening a collaborative plan from many users and different firms.
Changing PICKADD variable and/or checking/unchecking the box tools>options>selection> "Use shift to add selection" only reverses the function allowing shift/add OR shift/deslect but not both functions.
AutoDesk forum had info regarding similar problem with a guy using AutoCAD/ABS regarding Raster Design and an options overriding setting but the solution does not apply as I don't have those programs (or the solution options). But I wonder if the problem is inherited form one of the design team that had embedded raster images in the plan at one time or another.
I am running AutoCAD '07 w/Arch-Civil-Landscape enablers.
How do I get my shift/add/subtract function to work again? I've been without it for months now. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray

Well I'm a fool...
Reading through this forum about how shift deselect is "supposed" to work and I find with PICKADD 1 setting mine functions exactly as described! Continue clicking to add selections and shift-click to subtract selections. For the life of me I can't understand why I thought I was holding down shift to add AND subtract. Sure "seems" like that is what I was doing. Yikes! Too early for "senior moments"!
