    Welcome to my spiral club. I am struggling with it too. Lets see it who is going to have a spiral first.

    Draw a box that has many floors, eg skeleton of a skyscraper, then draw a 3Dployline or spiral then 'fit' it and it will create a smooth spiral. That can then be used as a source for an extrude path.

    Simple Spiral - drawn then saved as a rel12 dxf, to convert the 3dpolyline into a spline, then opened and 'extrude path' done.
