print jpg in scale from layout

Hi guys,
I have noticed that whenever I print a jpg or a png from layout and I want it to be in the right scale I choose Autocad always prints it out of scale. What's the problem?
I normally use the zoom xp factor (1000/scale req xp) and sometimes even this doesn't work, even if I take into account the mm to m or cm factor between paper space and model space.

Are you re printing the jpg ? then you will probably have a problem with scale.

Its to do with the dpi setting and the size of your sheet etc I played around with tiffout for our company and you have to work out your sheet size in DPI if you want to replot it at 1:1 scale same problem with pdf's. The guys here have just about given up re-plotting them back to correct scale.

OK, have you tried to scale the JPG up in Modelspace? Ive quite often scaled up a graphic file and it will work fine. I've quite often been given PDF files that have insufficient information and have needed to trace it to get it close. Here are the steps I've taken to get it (you may just need the scale side of this)

1. Open the PDF in the Viewer and zoom up to the area I need to trace
2. Use the CTRL 'Print SCRN' to copy the display to the Clipboard
3. Paste it into AutoCAD - In your case you start here by inserting the graphic
4. Use the Scale command and select the Graphic (note: you will need to have the border of the graphic showing with IMAGEFRAME set to either 1 or 2 as required)
5. Within the scale command, Pick a basepoint then type 'R' (for Reference), Pick another reference point then type in the length you want the distance between those points to be.

That will scale it up to the right size!!! Does that help?
