Grigs
I'm looking for a program or Excel spreadsheet or something that will allow me to enter the components of a wall and calculate the R values. Does anyone know of a program/spreadsheet that will do this?
ReMark
Is this what you are referring to? http://www.ornl.gov/sci/roofs+walls/whole_wall/
ReMark
Calculating heat loss using "R", "U" and "K" values. http://www.inspect-ny.com/interiors/Heat-Loss-Calculation.htm
Grigs
Kinda. What I was looking for was something that I could enter the components of a wall and it would tell me the R value of each item plus a running total. So if, for example, I had a 8" concrete wall that was furred with 2x4 wood studs filled with batt insulation and 5/8" gyp. board it would would show the R values of each component and then a total for the wall. ReMark
Then what you should be looking for is a R-value calculator. This link might provide what you're looking for. http://www.ornl.gov/sci/roofs+walls/AWT/InteractiveCalculators/rvalueinfo.htm
