fostertom
Acad 2006 - DISTANCE is weird. a) it often causes an autosave instead of giving a distance reading b) and now it won't give a distance - just Delta X, Y and Z - except within the 90o sector from vertical to horizontal rightward. What's going on?
Cad64
a) It's not causing an Autosave, that's just a coincidence. Maybe you have your Autosave set to save too frequently? b) You need to expand your command area. Hover your cursor over the bar, between the command area and your layout tabs, and then click and drag up.
fostertom
You're right - about b) - thanks, simple, stupid! But a) I swear it, can't be coincidence, but is 10mins too often?
Cad64
No, 10 minutes is a good save tiime. Trust me, it's just a coincidence. It happens to everyone. I know it may seem like there's something wrong, but there isn't. If there was a problem, where commands were getting crossed somehow, it would happen every time you use the Distance command, not just sometimes. lpseifert
If you didn't already know.... Distance is a system variable Use Dist to find the distance between 2 points
