Default I need help filling an area with equally spaced blocks

I'm trying to put together a lisp routine that will fill an area with equally spaced blocks. I lay out floor and roof trusses one at a time all day long right now (usually array), but I want to be able to fill in an area automatically with my joists or trusses. They are blocks right now that explode into a closed polyline so I can stretch them to the edge or whatever. My floor joists have different thickness depending on the series, so I'd like to be able to specify which truss I'm using so the lisp put the right width in.

My roof lines are always polylines along the perimeter. The same with my floor lines. Does anyone know of a lisp that already does this, one I can modify to do it, or can someone throw one together for me real quick.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

    Thanks...

Did not hear from you again.
Where you able to download the files?
Did they do what you wanted to accomplish?
